A new feature called Clinical Encounters is arriving in the IMPaCT app on September 18!
What it is: Clinical Encounters is a new feature that helps you track your clients’ past and upcoming doctors’ appointments, hospitalizations, and ER visits.
Why it’s important: Clinical encounters are great opportunities for supporting your clients. You might be able to help your clients set up transportation, prepare questions, understand medical information, and follow up on prescriptions and referrals. If the encounter already happened, you can help your client work through next steps and follow-up questions. Knowing when these appointments happen helps you and your clients get the most out of them together.

The basics:
- When you go to a client’s chart you’ll see a new Clinical Encounters section beneath the Health Tracker. Click on the icon to expand this section and see the Clinical Encounters pop-up.
- In the Clinical Encounter pop-up you can add a new encounter by clicking the “+” button. Once you have a few encounters in the list you can filter them by type of encounter, status, and date range.
- Pro-tip: Next month we’ll be introducing a way to automatically receive Clinical Encounters with data feeds! Please connect with your supervisor and IMPaCT account lead if you’re interested in learning.
