We’re making it easier to create notes in the IMPaCT app! Here’s what’s coming:
- Leave a note from the client list following status changes: In addition to changing status from the client list (mentioned in these release notes), you’ll be able to leave notes right from the client list any time you’ve changed a client’s status..
- Access AI Scribe on desktop: For organizations using AI Scribe, we’ve brought AI Scribe functionality to desktop right in the client chart and on the client list. Now you can easily access AI Scribe whether you’re on your laptop or on your phone.
- A streamlined set of notes: We’ve simplified the types of notes you can leave for your clients based on their status. All notes types are available for Enrolled clients while other statuses such as Pre-Outreach and Pending have a smaller set of status-appropriate note types.
- Graduation notes are now called Closeout notes: We renamed “Graduation” notes as “Closeout”, since not every closeout is a graduation. Use this note type whenever you’re closing out a client.
Why
Just as with the client list updates, we wanted to streamline your workflows when leaving notes. AI Scribe can decrease documentation time so we wanted to make it more accessible no matter how you’re using the app. (And if your organization doesn’t use AI Scribe, you won’t see the Record button, but you’ll see all the other updates here!)
How
These updates will be on the app the week of July 13, 2026!
- The basics: Head over to the client chart and you’ll see all these changes live. Take a look at how the note types are different depending on your client’s status.

Pro-tips:
- You can now start a note by typing in the chart, then switch to AI Scribe after you get it going. Try it out by writing some note content and selecting note details like Note Type and Date of Encounter, then hit the Record button to continue your note using AI Scribe. When your AI Scribe summary is ready it will appear beneath the notes you typed in.
