Presets are pre-made roadmaps with Goals and To-dos that can be easily added to your clients’ charts. They are great for common roadmaps that are used with many clients and for important roadmaps your organization wants to be able to track. Presets are configured by your organization in collaboration with your IMPaCT account lead. Here’s how to use them.
Adding a preset goal
To add a preset goal, go to Roadmaps in your client's chart and type a period (.) in the goal description field. A dropdown list of presets will appear, like .Hospitalization or .PCP. Keep typing and the list will narrow down to match what you type. Only presets that are turned on for a client's current program will show up when you're adding a preset goal for that client.
Once you select a preset from the list, it expands so you can see everything included:
- Goal: This is the pre-written goal text that comes with the preset. You won't be able to edit this text since this Goal is the intention of the preset.
- To-dos: Every preset comes with pre-written To-dos that are commonly important to achieving the goal. We recommend you customize these to what is most relevant to your clients – feel free to edit existing To-dos, add new ones, or delete what isn’t necessary.
Once you are happy with your To-dos, hit Save to add the Preset’s Goal and To-dos to the chart.
Good to know: Changed your mind about a preset you haven't saved yet? Click Cancel and the preset will not be added to the chart.
Editing and completing presets
Once a preset is saved and added to your client’s chart, it acts for the most part just like any other Roadmap. You can add, edit, complete, or abandon its To-dos, and you can complete or abandon the goal itself. Unlike a typical roadmap, you won’t be able to edit the Goal. This is so that presets remain consistent at the Goal level even if specific To-dos are changed.
And just like regular Goals and To-dos, once a preset Roadmap is saved you can't delete it, However, you can change its status to Completed or Abandoned. Lastly, you can add as many presets as you'd like to a client's Roadmaps, even more than one of the same kind.
