Client status in the client chart
When you're looking at a client's chart, you'll see their status located under their IMPaCT ID on the left hand side of the page. You can update their status at any time by selecting the "update status" button beneath their current status, outlined in orange below.
Once you select the "Update status" button a new window will pop-up. Let's take a closer look at the status pop-up window.

When you open the status pop-up window here's what you'll see:
1. Status options: This top section is where you can select a different status for your client. It will automatically display the most common statuses that follow the current status of your client. But if you need to see all the statuses you can do so by clicking “See all statuses”
Please note that only supervisors can change the status for a client who is Enrolled. This is because moving a client from Enrolled to another status means something important has happened (like the client is ready to graduate, or they've stopped responding to outreach) and it's important for CHWs and supervisors to be on the same page about this change for your client.
2. Program and CHW fields: Beneath the statuses you can select the Program and CHW for your client. These fields are interrelated so if you choose a program first, you’ll see only the CHWs who are working in that program and vice versa. If you need to change program or CHW, clear both fields by unselecting any values in them and then select the new program and CHW.
3. Confirm button: Once you've entered all the required information the Confirm button will become active and you can save the updates to your client's status, program, and CHW.
*Of note, as of 9/2/2024 there is no longer a Notes section in the status pop-up window. Previous notes left in the status window have been transferred to the main Notes section. Any new notes about status changes should be entered in the main Notes section.
History section
The status update window is also where you can see the history of changes for a client's status. When you click on expander by the History button you'll see a list of all the changes in status, program, or CHW for the client.*
When you see an entry in the list, you’ll see: the date the update was made, the client status at time of update, the program, and the assigned CHW. The CHW name you see on the right in grey is the person who made the update.
*Of note, this is an update as of 9/2/2024. Prior to this, entries were only created in the History section when status was changed. Now, any change in status, program or CHW will result in a new entry in the History section.
