Everything you need to know about building a client's profile.
The client profile holds all of the important details about clients you're working with. How about a deep dive refresher?
To reach the client profile, click the client's name on the Client list. This will open a pop up window that takes you to the "Our Work" tab. In the Our Work tab, you'll see "Profile", highlighted in the orange box below.
All of the client's demographic information lives here in the Profile tab.
On the top left you can see the client's name, ID number, and status. In this case, our client's name is Row Allanby, her IMPaCT ID found just beneath her name is 000000051, and her status is Enrolled. Below her status, you can see the "Update Status" button. You can use the "Update Status" button at any time to update your client's status as they move through your program. Learn more on status management here.
Below the update status button is the "Snapshot" box. When clicking the pencil icon to the right, you'll be able to update your client snapshot. As you learned in training a Snapshot is your summary of who your client is as a person, what is important to them (their hopes and fears) and what they want to do to improve their life and health.
The rest of the client profile screen is dedicated to demographic information. It has fields for standard demographics such as - name, date of birth, the client's ID number within your organization (such as in your electronic medical record), phone number, etc. Remember that all sections marked with an asterisk* are mandatory fields; the rest are optional, but good to have to best know your client. Things like pronouns and preferred name are important to being affirming and making the client comfortable. The referral section indicates whether the client was referred to the program or if they were identified as eligible based on set criteria for your organization. It's nice to know this because you may want to get in touch with the referring person to let them know how your work with your client is going.
As always, this information can be updated at any time. Don't forget to hit the Save at the bottom right when updating!
